This is One of Several Portraits I took of my little sister Pia, While she was going through chemotherapy for Hodgkin's lymphoma when she was 15. During the whole process she truly amazed and inspired me every step of the way often times keeping it together better than the rest of us, never loosing that special smile or her constant positivity and hope. Her outlook on the situation truly changed me for the better allowing me to see the light in the darkest of times. I took these as both a therapeutic process but also to keep the memory of her if she had made a turn for the worst. Luckily she was able to make it through and has been in remission to this day but the bonding and moments we got to share are among my most cherished memories.
